Remarkable progress has been achieved on the Zambian side of the project. Following the signing of the contract and the mobilisation of contractors, site establishment was successfully completed, with both contractors and the Employer’s Representative positioned on-site.

Key construction milestones include the Luapula embankment, which now stands at 5 meters high on both sides, progressing toward the planned total height of 15 meters, and the near completion of two major box culverts. Additionally, 25 kilometers of road alignment have been cleared in preparation for further construction activities.
