His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema, the Presidents of the the Republic of Zambia respectively, has demonstrated leadership and commitment to facilitating trade through modern infrastructure with his support for the GED Africa Route.

The bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo will promote job creation, trade, investment and an enduring socio-economic legacy.

The Road Development Agency (RDA) is a statutory body in place to manage the care, maintenance, and construction of public roads in Zambia. RDA is the legal custodial of all classified roads in Zambia that takes responsibility for planning, design, procurement, contract management, construction and maintenance, monitoring and quality assurance, and day to day management of civil works contracts.

The principal function of the RDA is to plan, manage and coordinate the road network in Zambia, which would include the GED Africa Route. GED Africa works closely with RDA to ensure that the quality of the roads is maintained and that local contractors and suppliers benefit from the project.
